  Legal news

  In October 2016, some amendments were made to several regulations, such as: Labour Code; Law no. 263/2010 regarding the unitary public pension system; Statute of the Insurance House of Civil-law notaries of Romania; Rules regarding the fees that the notaries charge for performing notarial services and the Statute regarding the organization and practice of insolvency practitioner profession.

  Moreover, the following documents were published in October: Methodological Norm no. 1 for the enforcement of the provisions of art. 71 paragraph 2 of Law no. 51/1995, for the organization and practice of the lawyer’s profession and the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 58/2016 amending and supplementing certain regulations having impact on the area of public procurement.

  As a result of the activity carried out by the High Court of Cassation and Justice (Panel DCD/C) of October, the following documents were published: Decision no. 18/2016 regarding the provisions of art. 278 paragraph (1), art. 55 letter c), art. 77 of the Labour Code and the provisions of articles 1.324, 1.325 and 1.326 of the Civil Code and Decision no. 13/2016 regarding the provisions of art. 268 paragraph 2 of the Labour Code, art. 35 of the Code of civil procedure, art. 111 of the Code of civil procedure from 1865, art. 2.502 of the Civil Code and certain provisions in the matter regulating non-discrimination.
