In June 2015, Law no. 139/2015 on Creation, Organization and Functioning of the Romanian Academy of Judicial Science, and several normative acts regarding tax field, national education, public pensions and capacity exam for judges and prosecutors after probation were published.
Law no. 189/2003 on International Judicial Assistance in Civil and Commercial Matters was republished and the articles were renumbered.
HIGH COURT OF CASSATION AND JUSTICE DECISIONS
As a result of the High Court of Cassation and Justice’s activity, the Official Journal of Romania published several decisions on preliminary rulings to settle legal issues, concerning certain provisions of the Criminal Code, of the Customs Code, of Mediation Law No. 192/2006, of Law No. 302/2004 on Judicial Co-Operation in Criminal Matters, of Law No. 554/2004 on Administrative Disputes, and of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 71/2009 on Enforceable Titles Payment related to Salary Rights of Public Sector Personnel.
ROMANIA’S CONSTITUTIONAL COURT DECISIONS
As a result of the Constitutional Court’s activity, the Official Journal of Romania published several decisions (admittance of constitutional challenges) on articles of the Criminal Procedure Code of Romania, of the Labour Code, of Law no. 7/1996 on Land Registry and Real Estate Publicity, of Law no. 254/2013 on the carrying out of sentences and on measures involving deprivation of liberty, Law no. 567/2004 on the suspension of Court’s and Prosecutor Office’s auxiliary personnel and of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 82/2013 amending Law no. 188/1999 on the Statute of civil servants.
