LEGISLATION NEWS
In May 2015, several normative acts were modified, including: the Labour Code, the Local Government Law no. 215/2001 and Law no. 218/2002 on the organization and functioning of the Romanian Police.
Also, Official Journal of Romania published two normative acts modifying the Rules Governing the Functioning and the Organization of the Mediation Council.
Three important regulations regarding to the judicial organization and to the admission to magistracy were modified.
HIGH COURT OF CASSATION AND JUSTICE DECISIONS
As a result of Romania’s High Court of Cassation and Justice activity, Official Journal of Romania published a decision for the settlement of a legal issue regarding registering the admonition in the tax offence record (Government Ordinance no. 75/2001, Government Resolution no. 31/2003, Government Ordinance no. 2/2001).
ROMANIA’S CONSTITUTIONAL COURT DECISIONS
As a result of the Constitutional Court's activity, several decisions were published in the Official Journal of Romania (admittance of constitutional challenges) with regard to several articles from the Criminal Procedure Code of Romania (Art. 235 – „Procedure for extending pre-trial arrest during the criminal investigation”, art. 484 - "Procedure before the court" and art. 488 – "Avenues of appeal";) and to Government Emergency Ordinance no. 33/2007 on the organization and functioning of the Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) – (art. 5. From ANRE Regulation).
