In February 2017, certain amendments were made to several regulations, such as: The Criminal Code (under the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 13/2017, the provisions of the respective regulation did not enter into force anymore) and the Code of criminal procedure.
Moreover, the following regulations were published in February: The Government Emergency Ordinance no. 14/2017 regarding the repeal of the G.E.O. no. 13/2017 for the amendment and supplement of the Criminal Code and of the Code of criminal procedure, as well as for the amendment of the Code of criminal procedure and Law no. 8/2017 for the dismissal of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 13/2016 for the amendment and supplement of Law no. 286/2009 regarding the Criminal Code and of Law no. 135/2010 regarding the Code of criminal procedure.
According to the activity of the High Court of Cassation and Justice (Panel of the Appeal in the interest of the law), 2 decisions were published in February: Decision no. 19/2016 regarding the provisions of art. 457 of the Code of civil procedure and Decision no. 16/2016 regarding the provisions of art. 1, art. 231 and art. 278 paragraph (2) of the Labor Code.
As a result of the activity carried out by the Constitutional Court, 4 decisions were published in February (pleas of unconstitutionality granted): Decision no. 625/2016 regarding the provisions of art. 70 of the Code of criminal procedure; Decision no. 697/2016 regarding art. 60 paragraph (1) of the Family Code (the form prior to its amendment under Law no. 288/2007); Decision no. 63/2017 regarding the applications for review of constitutional legal conflicts and Decision no. 764/2016 regarding the provisions of art. I point 6 and art. II of the Law approving the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 32/2015 on the establishment of the Forest Guards.
